2. What the app does

Ringtones for Phone lets you browse, preview, download, and optionally set original ringtone, notification, and alarm sounds on your Android device. No account is required.

3. Data we process

• Network activity: when you open the app, we load ringtone metadata and audio files from Google Firebase (Firestore and Hosting/Storage) so you can browse and play tones.
• Optional analytics: Firebase Analytics may collect anonymous or pseudonymous usage and device information (for example app opens, crashes, and basic device/app version data) to help us improve stability. Advertising ID collection is disabled in the app configuration.
• Files you download: audio files you choose to download are stored on your device under your control.
• System settings: if you choose Set as Ringtone, Notification, or Alarm, Android may ask for permission to modify system settings. That permission is used only to apply the sound you selected.

We do not require you to create an account, provide your name, email, or phone number to use the app.

4. Why we process data

• Provide the service: stream and download tones you request (performance of a contract / steps prior to contract with you as a user of the free app).
• Improve reliability: optional analytics and crash-related signals (legitimate interests, balanced against your rights).
• Security and abuse prevention: standard server and security logs from our hosting providers (legitimate interests).

5. Who processes data on our behalf

We use Google Firebase / Google Cloud infrastructure to host metadata, audio files, and analytics. Google may process data in the UK, EEA, or other locations under Google’s terms and appropriate transfer safeguards.

We do not sell your personal data.

6. Retention

Downloaded files remain on your device until you delete them. Analytics and server logs are retained according to our providers’ defaults and only as long as useful for app improvement and security, then deleted or anonymised.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you may have rights to access, rectify, erase, restrict, object, and data portability, and to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

8. Children

The app is a general-audience ringtone utility. It is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal data to us inappropriately, contact us and we will delete it where applicable.

9. Permissions summary

• Audio / storage (as required by Android version) — save downloaded tones

10. Content notice

Sounds in this app are original tones created for Ringtones for Phone. The app is not affiliated with Apple Inc., Google LLC device brands, or other phone manufacturers.

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will change when we do.
